Music is not enough

Success seems like an impossible equation: the more you chase it, the more it slips away. Eugenio in Via di Gioia know this well; they’ve pursued it everywhere and by every means: in their bedrooms, in public squares, in clubs… on foot, by train, even in a Panda car while fighting hoarseness. Their story has all the right ingredients for a happy ending, yet it is constantly disrupted by sudden delays and missed connections. An intimate, original, and exclusive portrait of four young musicians who, after a long apprenticeship, finally step onto the Ariston stage at the 2020 Sanremo Festival, a pivotal moment in their career, for which they invested almost everything, and which lasts only seven minutes: just enough time to perform before being eliminated by the demoscopic jury vote. The camera follows them like a fly on the wall, ready to capture with brutal honesty every moment of rise, setback, and rebirth, as four artists search for the true meaning of the word “success.”
