Aline, a little child from Senegal, discovers the Incomparable, one of the largest diamonds ever found. Angelo, an Italian smuggler, sets out to get it. The village chief, worried about Aline's safety, forces Angelo to adopt her as part of the transaction for the diamond. Five years later, back in Europe, they face many obstacles to become a family. Soon enough, Aline will discover the truth about the Incomparable and her past, which was always concealed by Angelo. That discovery will create a rift between them that will be impossible to fix.
